Google has finally unveiled its first foldable phone, the Google Pixel Fold, at its annual hardware event.
The Pixel Fold is a premium device that features a 7.6-inch foldable OLED display that can transform into a 5.8-inch cover display when folded.
The device runs on the Google Tensor G2 chipset, which is the second generation of Google’s own custom-made processor that promises faster performance and better AI capabilities.
Italso boasts a 48MP triple camera system that includes a telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom and an ultrawide lens.
The device also has two front-facing cameras, one on the inner display and one on the outer display, for selfies and video calls.
The Pixel Fold comes with 12GB of RAM and either 256GB or 512GB of internal storage, but no card slot for expansion.
It supports 5G connectivity, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and USB Type-C 3.2. It also has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a dual-LED flash, and stereo speakers.
The device runs on Android 13, the latest version of Google’s operating system that offers new features and improvements.
The Pixel Fold has a 4821 mAh battery that supports wired and wireless charging.
The Pixel Fold is available in two colors: Porcelain and Obsidian. It weighs 283 grams and measures 158.7 x 139.7 x 5.8 mm when unfolded and 139.7 x 79.5 x 12.1 mm when folded.
